Did you know over-watering your lawn can be just as harmful as under-watering? Check out our guidelines below to ensure you’re watering properly when using Ring to GREEN.
Your lawn thrives when it has the proper amount of water. Running your sprinklers too long is a common mistake that hurts your lawn and runs up your water bill. Read on to learn about determining the right watering schedule to prevent fungus growth and turbo-charge a healthy lawn with Ring to GREEN.
On the Ring to GREEN bag, we have provided estimated watering times by daily high temperature and sprinkler type. These watering times are recommendations, and may need to be adjusted to meet the needs of your turf and sprinkler system. Here are a few tips to make sure you are not over-watering your Ring to GREEN applications:
1. You do not need to water your lawn when daily high temperatures are under 70 degrees Fahrenheit. When daily high temperatures are under 70 degrees, there is enough dew on the grass in the morning to keep your lawn hydrated. If your lawn shows signs of dryness when temperatures are under 70 degrees (such as spots with dry grass and dry soil), you can turn on your sprinklers when needed. When daily high temperatures exceed 70 degrees, be sure to water every day, starting at 6:00 PM.
